USCIS Petitions
Generally, petitioners seeking to file immigrant visa petitions on Form I-130 or I-360 are required to file petitions in the United States at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). For more information on filing a petition with USCIS, please visit their website at www.uscis.gov.
In certain limited and exceptional circumstances, USCIS has delegated authority to the Embassy to accept I-130 and I-360 petitions in the Dominican Republic. These circumstances include:
- Petitions filed by U.S. service members assigned to military bases abroad;
- I-360 widow(er) petitions filed by widow(er)s who reside in the Dominican Republic; and
- Other I-130 and I-360 petitions that involve a limited set of exceptional or emergency circumstances.
