USAID Administrator Samantha Power travels to the Dominican Republic

On October 7-8, Administrator Samantha Power will travel to Santo Domingo to advance the United States’ partnership with the people and government of the Dominican Republic. The Administrator will lead U.S. participation in a U.S.-Dominican Republic High-Level Dialogue on Institutional Reform and meet with Dominican President Luis Abinader.

While there, the Administrator will visit USAID programs and meet with beneficiaries; she will also meet with youth leaders to discuss efforts in reducing crime and violence. In addition, the Administrator will convene with civil society leaders to discuss shared priorities to promote human rights and justice in the country.
