The U.S. Government, through the Foreign Commercial Service in the Dominican Republic, organized a trade mission in order to strengthen trade between both countries. A group of representatives from 12 businesses based in various American cities came to the Dominican Republic to establish contact with local enterprises and offer them their products and services. The visit includes a presentation from the U.S. Commercial Service on the business climate and opportunities in the country, as well as business –to-business meetings with Dominican firms to share ideas and information and develop mutually beneficial relationships.
The U.S. businesses participating in this trade mission are part of various industries, including health, nutrition, data management, fuel, pharmaceutical products, food, construction and transportation. They are visiting several countries in the Caribbean in order to take advantage of business opportunities in the region.
