The Ambassador of the United States, James W Brewster, led the delegation of representatives of Dominican companies that attended the “Select USA” Business Summit, which was held on 23 and 24 March, at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland.
The “SelectUSA” Summit offers participants on one same stage the basic tools, information and connections that are needed for investors to progress. Two thousand and five hundred participants attended to “SelectUSA” 2015, including investors from 60 countries who showed the incredible diversity of investment opportunities available throughout the United States.
During the event, Dominican delegation had the opportunity to share with expert staff in the area of economic development from all corners of the United States. They also learned about the most important issues that investors face today through a series of talks by prominent businessmen and government officials.
With a rebounded economy with a solid foundation that will ensure significant growth in the coming years, the United States has become the top destination for international companies seeking to do business and identify new investment opportunities, facilitating the right climate for strong systems of protection for copyright and commitment to innovation. The domestic market of the United States stands out for having millions of global consumers through free trade agreements.
