The United States Sponsors SelectUSA Investment Summit

Santo Domingo – The United States Embassy is pleased to announce registration opening for the second SelectUSA Investment Summit in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan region on March 23-24, 2015.   The Summit is aimed at business leaders considering opening or expanding operations in the United States.

In 2013, President Obama hosted the first-ever SelectUSA Summit which featured more than 1,300 participants from 60 nations,  as well federal and local government officials from  nearly every U.S. state and territory. Speakers included five members of President Obama’s Cabinet and high-profile CEOs.

The 2015 Summit is expected to double the size of the previous one and provide Dominican business leaders with more exposure to economic development resources from across the U.S.   U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker notes, “The SelectUSA Summit is all about business. It’s all about connecting investors with communities.  We want to open that first door to making an investment here in the United States. Clearly, our investment climate is strong. America is open for business.”

In addition, U.S. Ambassador Brewster has announced that he will be leading a delegation of Dominican business leaders to the SelectUSA summit and welcomes Dominican companies and investors to visit for more information and to submit an application to be included in the official Dominican delegation.
