Ambassador Brewster met with business leaders to discuss trade and economic issues
On September 21, Ambassador James Brewster and other U.S. Embassy representatives visited Pisano Industrial Park (El Parque Industrial Santiago Norte, S. A.), the second-largest industrial park in Santiago, for a full-day tour and visit with plant leaders. A private industrial park founded in 1989, Pisano now hosts more than 30 businesses and employs over 6,000 people.
Ambassador Brewster visited the factories of VF Corp./Timberland, PTI Manufacturing, De Royal Intercontinental, and DMG International. He met with Pisano founders Federico Dominguez and Jeanette Dominguez to learn about the park’s history and operations. During a working lunch, Ambassador Brewster met with business leaders of the industrial park to discuss trade and economic issues. Ambassador Brewster emphasized that increasing the already robust 12 Billion dollar trade relationship between the United States and the Dominican Republic is a key priority for the U.S. Embassy.
