The U.S. Consular Agency in Bávaro/Punta Cana provides U.S. Citizen Services including emergency assistance, notarials, and applications for U.S. passport renewals, to U.S. citizens residing in or visiting the eastern Dominican Republic, including the cities of Higüey, El Seibo, Hato Mayor, and La Romana. For all other services, including first time passports or Consular Reports of Birth Abroad, please contact the U.S. Embassy in Santo Domingo. If you would like to make an appointment at the Punta Cana Consular Agency, please email puntacanaconsularagency@state.gov. If you experience technical difficulties or do not have access to Internet, you may make your appointment by calling (809) 552-8990.
The U.S. Consular Agency in Bávaro/Punta Cana is open to the public Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 1:00pm, and from 2:00pm to 5:00pm except for U.S. and Dominican holidays. For after-hours emergencies, please call the Duty Officer at the U.S. Consular Section in Santo Domingo, at (809) 567-7775, dial zero (0) and request to speak to the Duty Officer.
