Seminar on Personal Branding Promotes Youth Leadership

Last month we held an alumni seminar for Youth Ambassadors (YA) Program participants, focused on service leadership and professional development, in Santiago de los Caballeros. Thirty-six YA alumni attended workshops on personal branding and content creation for social media, and learned how to expand their professional networks through service in civic organizations and community development projects.

The Youth Ambassadors Program, is U.S. State Department-sponsored exchange. This scholarship opportunity is administered in the Dominican Republic through the U.S. Embassy in Santo Domingo, in collaboration with The DREAM Project. Since 2011, this unique experience of youth diplomacy provides young leaders with the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of U.S. culture and values, through interactive workshops, community service activities, information sessions, and cultural experiences in the United States.
