Requesting an Immigrant Visa Appointment

The National Visa Center (NVC) schedules appointments and notifies applicants. But if the case is at the Embassy and the status says “Ready” at https://ceac.state.gov/, it may be that the applicants could already have an interview.

For those cases, to schedule an appointment, you need to write to support-dominicanrepublic@ustraveldocs.com or through our contact Immigrant Visa Contact Form – U.S. Embassy in the Dominican Republic (usembassy.gov) and include a document , if applicable, that supports the type of visa you are requesting: birth certificate for derivatives (confirm if your case accepts it), form DS117 and copy of passport for Returning Resident visas, waiver approval, among others.

Once your request is authorized, we will send you the instructions so that you can schedule the appointments yourself, both for the VAC and for the Embassy.
