Please note that it takes at least 6 – 8 weeks to receive the approval of a renunciation from Washington. The Embassy will hold your U.S. passport during this period.

To schedule an appointment for the initial interview, applicants should access our ACS Navigator, select the All Other option and follow the instructions. Please note that due to the complexity of the renunciation process, applicants may not make an appointment for a renunciation interview via our website. The fee for renunciation of U.S. Citizenship is of $2,350.00 USD.
