When the time comes to schedule your non-immigrant visa interview, you will be provided an appointment date and time. Please arrive at the embassy punctually on your appointment day, but no more than 30 minutes before your appointment time. If you arrive more than a half an hour prior, you will not be admitted earlier.
In general, only the individuals applying for the visa should come to the interview. Other family members are only admitted in limited circumstances, such as parents accompanying minors. Please note that children under the age of 14 do not need to come to the interview, only the parent on their behalf. Children aged 14-17 should be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at the interview, while those over 18 get interviewed on their own.
