During a visit to the country, representatives of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) met with President Danilo Medina, accompanied by the US Ambassador, Robin Bernstein, other embassy officials and representatives of American companies. OPIC president and CEO Ray W. Washburne, vice president and general counsel William Doffermyre, and senior adviser on energy issues Deaver Alexander III participated in the meeting. From the Dominican Republic, several government officials and entrepreneurs from various sectors attended.
