All U.S. citizens in the Dominican Republic are invited to participate in a virtual Town Hall live chat with U.S. Consul General William Swaney on Wednesday, September 16th at 3:00 p.m. Join us through this link: https://statedept.zoomgov.com/j/1617800690
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the U.S. Embassy in Santo Domingo has continued to support thousands of U.S. citizens and their families. The safety and security of U.S. citizens overseas is and will always be one of our top priorities.
Consul General Swaney will provide an update on resources and services available to U.S. citizens during the current COVID-19 crisis. CG Swaney will provide information on voting in the upcoming U.S. elections, our new processes for passport renewals and reports of birth abroad, hurricane preparedness guidance, and information on social security benefits. In addition, he will review the steps for registering with STEP to receive information from the U.S. Embassy.
The town hall will be streamed live on Zoom at this link: https://statedept.zoomgov.com/j/1617800690. We encourage U.S. citizens in the Dominican Republic to ask any questions during the chat, as they will be answered in real time.
For those who are not able to join the live chat, the video will be recorded and posted on the Embassy’s Youtube account.
