The Embassy continues to provide emergency and limited routine consular services as resources and local conditions allow. U.S. citizens can renew passports by mail and limited passport appointments are now available. Appointments for Consular Reports of Birth Abroad and notarial services can be made online. We are processing limited non-immigrant visa appointments for student and work visa categories. Additionally, our Immigrant Visa Unit has resumed limited processing of certain categories.
We do not have an anticipated date when routine tourist visa services will resume at this time for applicants that do not qualify for the visa renewal program. Nonimmigrant visa payments (MRV fees) remain valid until September 30, 2023.
