How Do I Become a Citizen Liaison Volunteer (CLV)?

Are you a U.S. citizen living in the Dominican Republic who wants to help the Embassy engage with the U.S. citizen community in the DR by responding to emergencies when they emerge? The Embassy in Santo Domingo is looking for Citizen Liaison Volunteers (CLVs).  CLVs are private citizens that assist the Embassy in communicating with other U.S. citizens.  They share information, assist travelers in distress and, in the event of a natural disaster or other emergency, help us locate U.S. citizens so we can get them to safety.  Please note that CLVs are not employees or representatives of the U.S. Embassy and are not financially compensated for performing in this volunteer role.   For more information, please visit the U.S. Citizen Services section of the Embassy’s website. If you would like to become a Citizen Liaison Volunteer, please email SDOCLVRecruit@state.gov.
