When you receive an H2 visa, you should follow all of the terms of the visa to avoid any problems with future applications.
– When you arrive at the Port of Entry in the United States, your passport will be stamped with an “Admit Until Date.” Make sure to leave the US before this date and not to work after the date passes in order to avoid any penalties.
– Remember to inform your employer of the Admit Until Date when it’s assigned. If you don’t know your Admit Until Date, you can find it by visiting the following website: i94.cbp.dhs.gov.
– Remember that you have rights as a worker during your time in the United States on an H2 visa, such as receiving a fair wage and not suffering discrimination at work. If you are being mistreated at work, you can call the Línea Nacional contra la Trata de Personas at 1-888-373-7888.
