Entrepreneurship Fair Emprende USA

The Embassy of the United States in the Dominican Republic is organizing the fair for entrepreneurs Emprende USA. This activity seeks to connect companies and entrepreneurs in the Dominican Republic with resources from the United States government to promote entrepreneurship and access to US markets. This affirms the commitment that the Embassy of the United States has with the development and strengthening of the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the Dominican Republic.

Exchange Programs for Entrepreneurs

Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE)

The Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) is an United States Department of State program that supports the development of women entrepreneurs, designed to empower women around the world to realize their economic potential, creating conditions for greater stability, security and prosperity for all. The AWE Program is implemented in the Dominican Republic by the Embassy of the United States in Santo Domingo in partnership with Pretty Busy Club and Fundación Innovati. This virtual program offers 5 months of accompaniment for women entrepreneurs, and seeks to provide women with the knowledge, tools and networks they need to turn their projects into successful companies. Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI)

The Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI) is a program of the Office of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) of the Department of State of the United States of America and implemented by Meridian International Center. The YLAI Program aims to connect the next generation of entrepreneurs from all countries in the Americas. This includes a scholarship program and a virtual network of entrepreneurs that offers courses, events and networking activities.

Partnering to Accelerate Entrepreneurship Initiative (PACE)

The Partnering to Accelerate Entrepreneurship (PACE) Initiative aims to catalyze private-sector investment into early-stage enterprises and identify innovative models or approaches that help entrepreneurs bridge the pioneer gap – thus unlocking the potential of thousands of promising enterprises around the world.

Working in partnership with more than 50 incubators, accelerators, and seed-stage impact investors, USAID’s PACE initiative creates public-private partnerships dedicated to testing ways to address critical gaps and foster entrepreneurship. Development Innovation Ventures (DIV)

Development Innovation Ventures (DIV) is USAID’s open innovation program that funds breakthrough solutions to the world’s most intractable development challenges. By funding innovation and focusing on rigorous evidence, DIV impacts millions of lives at a fraction of the usual cost.
