The Youth Ambassadors Program sends high school students and adult mentors from the Dominican Republic to the United States, and vice versa, to promote mutual understanding, build leadership skills, and prepare youth to make a difference in their communities. During a three week program, participants engage in workshops, community service activities, team building exercises, meet with community leaders, and have a homestay with American families. Upon their return the students apply what they have learned to implement projects in their communities.
