Public Designation of Dominican Republic Senator Felix Bautista under the FY 2018 Department of State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs Appropriations Act (Div. K, P.L. 115-141

The Department is publicly designating Dominican Republic Senator Felix Ramon Bautista Rosario under Section 7031(c) of the FY 2018 Department of State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs Appropriations Act, due to his involvement in significant corruption.  Section 7031(c) provides that, in cases where the Secretary of State has credible information that foreign officials have been involved in significant corruption or gross violations of human rights, those individuals and their immediate family members are ineligible for entry into the United States.

The law requires the Secretary of State to publicly or privately designate such officials and their family members.  In addition to the designation of Senator Bautista, the Department is also publicly designating his spouse, Sarah Haydee Rojas Peña, their minor children, and his other children including Felix Ramon Bautista Abreu, Felix Jose Bautista Abreu, Felix Augusto Bautista Abreu, Felix Miguel Bautista Soler, Felix Fidel Bautista Grullon, and Yanilssa Bautista Bencosme.
