Prior to one’s immigrant visa appointment, applicants are responsible for reviewing all e-mail messages received from the National Visa Center (NVC). The NVC may have notified you of actions you need to take prior to the day of the interview. For example, it is possible you are missing some documents or that one of your documents has expired and you need a new one. Note that all required documents should be obtained and uploaded prior to your appointment. It is also important that you ensure that your DS-260 form is updated and closed before the day of the appointment to avoid any delay in processing your visa.
